i always love your book reviews and recommendations! Lucky are Bea and Harriet’s teachers! Book reports were the bane of my existence when i was in school!

once when giving an oral book report i twisted all the buttons off of my sweater bc i was so nervous about reporting on a book i hadn’t read! i died 1000 deaths but

“lived to tell the tale!”

Thank you Harriet, Bea, Belle & Richard for taking the time again to write up and share descriptions of books you are enjoying! I always open the library request window somewhere through the process of reading the reviews, and then I remember not to close it, because I always click back a few times to request a couple more! Enjoy the cold, dark, homey reading days!

The Windeby Puzzle sounds really intriguing. I definitely want to get my hands on that book. Right now I am totally immersed in Jill McCorkle. I had the great pleasure to hear her read from Old Crimes last week in Charlotte. In preparation for going to see her, I read Hiroglyphics which was extraordinary, Going Away Shoes, and am finishing Tending Virginia all by McCorkle. Next up Old Crimes. I would also highly recommend The Bee Sting by Paul Murray and Prophet Song by Paul Lynch. i just finshed these two. My love to everyone. Thank you for another wonderful FTT.

Great choices by the adults here. We live about 10 minutes from Melville's Arrowhead, where he wrote MD. Haven't done the house tour, which I should. They do a read-a-thon, as does the New Bedford Whaling Museum.
