Thank you, Beth! We are so impressed by Rowe! One nice thing I didn't mention is that in Virginia, at Bea's cousin's school, the kids are still choosing to wear masks because their teachers are wearing them.

My daughter’s pediatrician told me, in January, that she’d read of three new variants emerging on other continents. She couldn’t answer me about whether or not any of those variants were (yet?) as harmful or transmissible as the strains we’re already contending with in the States. I don’t share this to cause alarm but merely to remind readers that new variants will inevitably emerge. Vaccination, education, and the will and of kids like Rowe are our most essential defenses.

Thank you, Laura! I was reading about one of those new variants this week, and it does feel like unless we get this under better control, it's just a matter of time before something else emerges, possibly worse. Researching this post I was pretty taken aback by the difference in vaccination rates for kids, county by county.

Those stats surprised me too. Mass media has diverted its attention way too soon, likely under some pressure from both sides of the political spectrum…

I just read this morning, though, via BBC, that Queen Elizabeth has tested positive. 💔Long live the Queen! and BBC.

The world needs, also, more quality, honest reportage like ya’ll’s. Anyway, happy Sunday and tysm you for the read. FTT is always a treat.
