Being in the woods definitely helps me with nervous feelings! I like to go hiking at Ulmstead State Park, on Sal's Branch Trail. It's my number one comforting place when I need to work through some anxiety.

Such a great adventure and wonderful photos! And yes, the outdoors is magic for nervous feelings. I love to weed in the garden and whenever I can, I love to see and hear the ocean. I hope this first week of second grade is terrific and will be so eager to hear all about it!

That sounds fun. Also I think it's useful when you're angry to go out in the garden and weed. Because you can easily yank the weeds. This is Bea and first two days good so far.

So glad all is going well at school! I look forward to hearing more. And YES, yanking weeds when feeling frustrated or angry is a great thing to do. AND the results are so positive!! xo

I love to sit on the top of the picnic table in my backyard, beneath the shade of our sycamore and pecan trees (or take care of the roses in my front yard). Any outside work is great for relaxing. So are adventures! It sounds like you had a great one to help get ready for second grade!
