Probly this was a good teachable moment for Bea to learn about astroturf fake "protests." Part of the "Hands Off" was "Hands Off NATO"...WTF? How many "protestors" were paid and bussed in to these coordinated events around the US? Why weren't opposition to Ukraine proxy war and protests against US support of Israel's genocide in Gaza prominent in these events? Belle what exactly were you and Bea protesting for and against?

I am so glad to hear all the good work AAUP is doing. It makes me feel hopeful for the future of higher education. And research. All the things that are so important that I worry enough people don't understand how important. It takes good, hardworking people like you to keep it going.

And thank you to all the rest of your family who went to the Hands Off rally! I admit, I did not attend one. But I am so impressed by how many small towns in rural, well-known red counties are having these rallies! Making our voices heard!

Thanks for the info on the Killthecuts.org. I'm going to look into it. And Belle--congratulations on being named president of AAUP. I've been meaning to join for ages, and now you've given me the incentive to do it now. Also, I loved the sign!
