Thank you for this wonderfully informative post about coyotes (and everything you write that I haven't thanked you for). I loved to learn some new things about coyotes. The first time I heard them in Raleigh I was at a friend's house who lives adjacent to Dorothea Dix and couldn't decide if it was a cat in distress or a baby. Or both! A fight between a cat and a baby. Despite my initial confusion, I love the sound.
