Happy Father's Day!

Dear Frog Troublers, Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and grandpas and father figures out there. We hope you have an awesome day! Bea and Harriet wanted to write their own post this morning about their dad and grandpas:

From Harriet:

Happy Father’s Day to Daddy, Grandpa, and Grampa! This morning we got up early to everything ready for Daddy. We made him cards that were really sweet—I really like my sister’s, which has a chess and Julius cartoon. My mommy wrapped his present and made him some granola. I made a kitty placemat because Daddy loves kitties. Daddy has the best jokes and songs. Later we’re taking him to an escape room!

From Bea:

My dad likes to try new things!

My dad is so awesome, and I love spending time with him. It’s so fun to talk to him, and he’s teaching me how to play chess, which is really fun. Daddy is also really good at funny dancing. Yesterday we went to the library, and I had to put seven books back to make sure the library didn’t go out of business. We also watch Jeopardy!, and I help him study for Jeopardy!. We’re working on a virtual escape room but it’ll be fun to go to a real one today—maybe we’ll get some ideas. My strategy for escape rooms and virtual escape rooms is to look for places you’d never expect someone to have hidden something.

We wish we could spend time with Grandpa Allen and Grampa Boggs today too, but they’re both in Virginia.

From Harriet: Grandpa Allen is so sweet. He gives the best hugs, and he’s a good whistler. He does funny voices too, and he loves animals and kids.

From Bea: Grampa Boggs is also so funny and has the craziest stories. One time he told me a story about when his horse ate too much corn, and it became something called foundered. Grampa’s grandpa made Grampa and his cousin stick a hose up the horse’s butt, but Grampa knew to stand at the faucet end and not the horse end. That tells you a lot about how smart Grampa is. (The horse lived.)
